Toggled - July 2026
Well, what a month. July has been an exciting one here at Toggle. We dug into gifting with some brilliant people, welcomed a few lovely new faces, and kept making Toggle even better behind the scenes. Grab a coffee, here is everything that happened this month at Toggle.
Gifting got the spotlight with Blackhawk Network
We kicked July off with a brilliant webinar. Sitting down with David Walsh from Blackhawk Network, the team behind One4all, to get into why gifting is one of the biggest opportunities in hospitality right now.
And the numbers? They really did all the talking. The UK gift card market is now worth a chunky £8 billion and is growing 14% year on year. Better still, the average redemption drives a 145% spend uplift, so guests do not just spend the balance, they treat themselves on top.

And if you are in a gifting mood (like we always are), here is another one worth a watch if you missed it. We talked with Andre Johnstone from Upside London, one of our Professionals, who grew Wagamama's gift card program from £300k to over £3 million, and took Côte past £2 million in just two years! He and Toggle's Holly Ritchie unpacked how to unlock the gift card revenue your venue is missing out on: Unlocking the gift card opportunity: Toggle x Upside London
The quick win that you can action today!
Here's a simple one for your gift card line-up: sell the experiences you already run, not just a cash balance.
Picture "dinner for two" or a bottomless brunch instead of a flat £20. A set amount can sit forgotten in a drawer for months. An experience gets a date in the diary and a table booked!
The best bit? You are almost certainly running these already. You just might not have popped them on the shelf as gift cards yet.

New venues on Toggle
A big warm welcome to the brand-new venues who joined Toggle this month!

We're chuffed to have you all on board, and we can't wait to help you grow your gifting.
Always Evolving
We've also been busy rolling out new improvements across Toggle this month. You can now manage your own webhooks directly from the dashboard, and we've brought postage and order settings together into one streamlined view. They're the kind of updates that make everyday tasks that are a little bit quicker, simpler and more intuitive.
New faces at Toggle!
Our team got bigger this month, and we could not be happier about it. Three brilliant new Togglers joined the crew, each looking after a different corner of the business.
Cameron Ellis joins as our new Enterprise Account Manager, helping even more hospitality businesses discover what Toggle can do.
Samuel Card joins as Print & Fulfilment Executive, helping deliver the premium gift card experience Toggle is known for.
Bronte Webster joins as Onboarding & Delivery Executive, welcoming new customers to Toggle and guiding them through the start of their journey.
A huge Toggle welcome to all three!
Company Day fun!
July also meant one very important thing: the whole Toggle crew in one room! We got together for a proper catch up, mapped out our Q3 goals, talked through what's coming next on the roadmap, and got seriously excited about everything we're building together!
Then we did what any good hospitality team would do and took it to Cosy Club in Sheffield for dinner and a few (well-earned) drinks! A big shout out to Ollie and Emily for looking after us so well. We came back buzzing!
That's a wrap on July! August is where Christmas and Black Friday gifting kicks into gear, so keep an eye out. There's plenty heading your way!
